Race To The Cup

Where in Disneyland Paris can you find the real-life Piston Cup?

No, not in Doc Hudson's garage. But in the queue area of Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Walt Disney Studios! Don't forget to check this out for yourself, next time you visit.

In Theatres Everywhere

Moseying around Disney's Hotel Cheyenne in Disneyland Paris, you will notice lots of posters, paintings, and items to make you feel like you are truly in the Wild West.

Take these posters, for example, advertising the film The Long Riders.
The film, starring Randy Quaid, Nicholas Guest, David Carradine and Robert Carradine, was distributed under United Artists in 1980. Although not strictly propaganda from the Western era the hotel is set in, it is still a nice nod towards the Old West style cinematography.

Painting The Walls

We have visited the grand detail of Au Chalet de la Marionette before, from the beautiful stained glass windows to the great carvings between dining areas.

We visit this restaurant in Fantasyland yet again, but this time to have a look at some of the details in several of the dining areas. Today we will look at the mural of Pinocchio's 'Hi Diddle Dee Dee' story to become an actor.
One of the most beautiful things, in my opinion, is the fact that the artwork is in the language of Disneyland Paris's country. Allowing children to really enjoy this classic!

On Guard

When you visit La Chaumière des Sept Nains in Fantasyland, make sure to watch out for some guards keeping an eye on things.
I presume the Evil Queen stationed these knights here, to make sure things don't get out of line with Snow White.

Before entering Agrabah Cafe, be sure to take note of the genie. He might grant a wish, or several...
The genie appeared and offered three wishes.

Inside the West

DF'82 has a soft spot for Disney's Hotel Cheyenne in Disneyland Paris. There is so much to see, that it would be easy to stay in the resort and never leave!

Take, for example, the hotel room itself. With so many details and so much theming, you may want to stay there all day!

Mickey, Mickey, Where For Art Thou

We have visited Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland before, but we forgot to point out a very unique feature of this shoptraction (shop attraction).

Before you enter the establishment, don't forget to look up! You might spot a very interesting looking piece of architecture.Perhaps this is somewhere the fair maiden-Minnie can stand and call for her Sir Mickey!

Last Chance...for a Quick Bite

It's time for a quick bite, and today we head over to the wild, wild, Frontierland to grab something in the Last Chance Cafe.Situated close to the Phantom Manor (near to the Silver Spur Steakhouse), the Cafe is a place where you can go to get a quick bite in a truly Western setting!

If you fancy a turkey leg, some fries, chicken or ribs, this is the place for you. As well as selling some of the usual deserts, you can also get some platters that are ideal to share. And if the weather is kind to you, sit outside and enjoy the views of Frontierland and Big Thunder Mountain.
The restaurant is usually open from 11am, but closing days in off-peak season can vary.

A Spot of Mouse Tea

Walking around Disneyland Paris, there are plenty of interesting sights to see! Here at DF'82, we are always reminding guests that they need to keep an eye-out for anything and everything!

Perhaps you fancy a spot of tea near the Mad Hatter's Tea Cup attraction?
As long as you don't mind a Dormouse in it, you're in luck!

Enjoying a Moment...Spinning in Tokyo

Today's moment is courtesy of the Tea Cups in Tokyo Disneyland.

Spinning in Tokyo

I love to see the variation between all the tea cups of the Disney World, such as this one from Disneyland Paris:
DLP - Teacups
It's A Mad World

And here, from Walt Disney World:
Waiting for the Teacups

And finally, the original, Disneyland, at night!

An Auto Stop

I don't know about you, but there are many times I am visiting Main Street U.S.A in Paris and feel the need to get my car tuned, or to fill up on gas (or petrol, as we Brits would say).

Well, look no further than the Auto Service, located at 210 Main Street.
However, it looks like we will need to make sure of a few things before we 'fill her up':
No autos filled
while engines running
oil or gas burning
or occupants smoking

Luckily we aren't near a smoking area, so that one should be okay!

Quick Bite... At Agrabah Cafe

It's been a while since we have had a quick bite at any of the restaurants in Disneyland Paris, so today we're going to enter Adventureland and visit a very adventurous sort of a restaurant... Agrabah Cafe Restaurant!
As you will have gathered, the restaurant is situated in Adventureland and may have stepped straight out of the Arabian Nights tales! The dining option is that of a Mediterranean and Oriental-style buffet, which makes it very different to the other restaurants offered on property.Dishes include salads, couscous, chicken, lamp and some fantastic deserts. The dining area is divided into several rooms with a courtyard, that can be open weather permitting. The buffet is priced (in Summer 2010) at 23,70€ for adults and 10,90€ for children, including a soft drink.
The cafe is usually open 11am-4pm, longer during peak-times (12-9pm) but can be closed during the winter months, so reservations are suggested!

Travel To Tokyo

Let's head over to World Bazaar in Tokyo Disneyland, and a company that may be able to help us in some of our travel needs.Situated at the far end of the Bazaar, is the Four Corners Travel Agency.
Four Corners Travel Agency
Reservations by Cable
Anywhere in the World

Referencing the four corners of the world, this travel agency should be able to help with all our travel needs. Perhaps they are also making a nod towards the four corners of the Disney World, and to the four theme parks that existed during the completion of Tokyo Disneyland.

Entering The Dwarf's Cottage

When you visit Disneyland Paris, you could be forgiven for thinking that all the shops are there to merely sell you gifts and souveniers. While that might be true, don't forget to head inside them. Most of the shops also have some fantastic theming scattered throughout, making them another attraction altogether! One such 'attraction' is La Chaumière des Sept Nains (The Thatched Cottage of the Seven Dwarfs), situated in Fantasyland, just at the other side of the Castle. As you enter the 'shop' you are really entering the Dwarfs' cottage.Be sure to take in all that surrounds you, and you may just feel like you've entered a world in which only Snow White experienced before you. Charming!
