Decor of the Lodge

Disney's Sequoia Lodge in Paris is a resort which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere - but in a good way! The resort is built in a way that makes you feel you are in the middle of the Sequoia National Park.

The decor, for example, is themed perfectly. With paintings and images of wildlife:

And some excellent map details:

- Mill Creek Smith River Park
- Del Norte Coast Park
- Bull Creek Dyerville Park

On The Sequoia Walls

The bedrooms in the main Sequoia Lodge building have been recently refurbished, as we looked at last week. And whilst the borders around the wall have been themed, the paintings hanging in the walls are also themed.

With gorgeous images featuring Bambi and friends, you can really feel at home in these Lodge rooms!

Details Above Your Head

Disney's Sequoia Lodge, in Disneyland Paris, is a beautiful resort, and after having a large upgrade, is even more fun to stay in!

Take a look at the rooms, for example, in the main Lodge building. Notice anything special about them?

Take a look at the wallpaper decorating the room - now that is some Disney Detailing.

Welcome to the Sequoia

The Sequoia Lodge in Disneyland Paris, is a hotel very similar in style and theme to that of Wilderness Lodge in Florida, and Disney's Californian in Anaheim.

The hotel is built in such a way that you feel like you are in the middle of the wilderness, somewhere deep in the forests of America.
The lobby, and surrounding corridors, have a very natural feeling. With stone floors and wooden walls and ceilings.

Be sure to take some time to have a proper look at the hotel's walls, for you may find some Native American artifacts to add to the theming.

Lodging the Details

If you are lucky enough to stay at, or simply visit, the Sequoia Lodge resort at Disneyland Paris, be sure to walk through the grounds.
And if you make your way from the main building to one of the 'outside' buildings, such as Big Sur, be sure to spot for any wildlife spending time in the grounds.

Just another Hidden Treasure in Disneyland Paris!

Welcome to Sequoia Lodge

As you know, Sequoia Lodge is one of DF'82's favourite resorts at Disneyland Paris. And when you arrive here, as in most of the Disney Resorts, you receive a welcome pack. This includes the usual items you should need to make the most of your stay - up to date guide map of the park, including a times guide, and some information about your resort. Where your room is and, most importantly, the ins-and-outs of the Hotel.

Sequoia Lodge is no different. Here's what the Royal Family received on our last trip:

What, you can't all read French? Don't worry - there's an English translation as well!

Christmas At Sequoia Lodge

In our 'Ticket To' Series, we had a very brief look at the Sequoia Lodge resort at Disneyland Paris. It is actually one of mine, and my family's, favourite resorts in Paris. For those of you who have been to Walt Disney World, it is similar to Wilderness Lodge, and for those from Disneyland, it is close to Grand Californian Resort and Spa.Because of the Wilderness style of the Sequoia Lodge, it is a beautiful hotel once it has been decorated for Christmas. Let's have a short tour of some of their Christmas decorations.
We start of with the main entrance to the Lodge, where the restaurants are situated and where you exit and enter if you are going to and from the parks.

We then have the lobby area of the hotel, which also gets into the Christmas Spirit.

And finally, my favourite area of the main building of the Sequoia Lodge - the ski-style bar area. Beautiful!

Ticket To...Sequoia Lodge

After visiting the Hotel New York, and helping Ryan from Main Street Gazette find a place to stay when he visits Disneyland Paris, let's have a look at the Sequoia Lodge, further around the lake.

Based upon the American National Park lodges, the hotel is similar in theming to Wilderness Lodge in Walt Disney World. The beautiful hotel was designed by the French architect Antoine Grumbach, and opened it's 1011 guest rooms in April 1992 (along side the opening of EuroDisney itself).

On my family's most recent trip last December we stayed at the Sequoia Lodge, so in a future post I'd like to do a 'spotlight on' this hotel. I have plenty of pictures and memorabilia to share with you, so this is just a quick stop at this beautiful lakeside hotel.
Now, let's head onwards!
