All Aboard!

After yesterday's look at some of the transportation available on and around Main Street, we follow on from the Euro Disneyland Rail Road and have a look at one of the trains in action.

The W.E.Cody, entering Frontierland Station, and ready to take some guests on a tour of the Disneyland park!

Rest Your Feet

Visiting any Disney park can be a tiring experience. Although we all love the attractions, shows and experiences, the ol' feet can get a little bit, well, sore! So be sure to take advantage of the many transport options available on Main Street U.S.A.:

And not forgetting the Disneyland Rail Road, a perfect way to get right around the Park!

The Cops Are Coming

You better watch out the next time you visit Main Street U.S.A., Paris. It turns out that the police are happy to take you away at a moment's notice!

And judging by these convicts in the Main Street Police Dept. Paddy Wagon, they are getting younger and younger!

Flower Power

The Tokyo Disney Resort consists of two main theme parks, several hotels and a reasonably sized shopping area. In order to get between these attractions, the best method of transport is the Disney Resort Line monorail service.

As you can see, the monorail can also be decorated to celebrate whatever season or festivity the Tokyo Disney Resort is partaking in at the time! In this case, it's for Tokyo DisneySea's Spring Carnival 2010.

The monorail serves the Maihama Station & Disney Ambassador Hotel (train station), Tokyo Disneyland (TDL Hotel and Bon Voyage! shop), Bayside (the official hotels of Tokyo Disneyland) and Tokyo DisneySea (including MiraCosta hotel).

Welcome to Autopia

The entrance to the Autopia attraction at Parc Disneyland is really quite impressive.

As you can see, the Autopia attraction is sponsored by Ford and we are en route vers le Futur ("On route to the future").

Up, Up and Away!

We head back over to Discoveryland in Parc Disneyland to look at some further pieces of transport that are available in this futuristic land of new inventions and ideas.

Such as this flying contraption from a Galaxy Far, Far Away...

And then we have the Orbitron, and it's new-fangled way of seeing the stars.

Travel in Style

Discoveryland, at Parc Disneyland in Paris, is full of many hidden treasures and fantastic Disney details. If I am lucky enough to have some quiet time in the parks, I love to just walk around and Discover what I can find in the 'land.

For example, there are many forms of transport in plain sight around Discoveryland. It would be easy to overlook this, but considering the area has been built with such futuristic stylings in mind, it's fascinating to have a look at all the different modes of transport there is!

We have the cars of Autopia.

The Nautilus submarine.

An airship at Cafe Hyperion.

Rockets ready to shoot you to the moon!

Main Street Adverts in Asia

One of the things I adore about the Magic Kingdom, and the theme parks similar to it around the Disney World, is the way there are many experiences that are different but also familiar.

For example, you have the Castle that you will see upon approach to the hub from the entrance. Whilst they may not all be the same, they still give you that sense of wonder and a "I'm Here!" moment. Although the bus transportation throughout the Parks may not give us wonder and excitement, it is still a fun sight to see in any Main Street U.S.A. or World Bazaar.
Just like this autobus that you can spot in the Tokyo Disneyland Park, from the Tokyo Disneyland Transportation Company. Complete with adverts for the different attractions throughout the Disney-land!

MS Transport

Let's head back over to Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Paris, where we can hitch a ride on several forms of new-fangled transport. But surely there is a depot where these cars and trams are located overnight?
Ah, here it is! Situated in the middle of Town Square, this beautiful brickwork building welcomes all guests and reminds us that we can take a tram to the Castle, or a bus to the Emporium.

But look a little closer - there is some fantastic detailing on the building, showing the official mark of the Main Street Transportation Company. I wonder if they sell a Multi-Journey Travel Card?

Travelling Around Main Street

Here at DF'82 we've mentioned before about different forms of transport to get around Main Street. Previously, we had a look at the autobus that was becoming a very popular mode of transportation.
There is, however, still a more traditional way to get around the Street. As you can see, you can still hop on the horse-drawn tram, powered by the Main Street Transportation Company, and including service to and from Main Street, Flower Street and Market Street. Fantastic!

Further Advertisements

In a previous post, DF'82 introduced the new transportation that is taking Main Street U.S.A. by storm! In all honesty, there is always a wait to try this new autobus going up to the Hub. So let's have a look at the other side of the bus and some of the advertisements that we can see:

These include a couple of shops on Main Street - Ribbons and Bows and Disney Clothiers. And you can always pop into Harmony Barber Shop, if you can't get an appointment at Dapper Dan's.

And...the driver...do you recognise her from the previous post? She must have been able to get on the autobus after all!

Wait Up!

You have just entered Parc Disneyland, but you need to get to the Castle - and fast! How do we do this?

Well, we could try using one of these new-fangled contraptions called an autobus - these travel up and down Main Street U.S.A. nearly every day and will get you where you need to be in a jiffy.
Looks like this Cast Member has also just realised she needs to grab something from the Emporium! Luckily, this autobus passes right by this very shop. Room for one more?
