MiraCosta Mickey

This Mickey Mouse welcomes us to the Hotel MiraCosta in Tokyo DisneySea.

Always a welcoming face! And he has his compass and map on hand, so it looks like he is ready for an adventure or two.

A Degree of Mystery

Upon entering the Mysterious Island in DisneySea, we are greeted with a royal-feeling area.

And on closer inspection, we can see this beautiful water fountain, bringing together the Sea-feeling of the park and the power of the Mysterious Island itself.

Step Off The Tracks

Walking around Frontierland in Disneyland Paris can be dangerous enough, watching out for the horses and cowboys, but now it appears we have to watch out for the mine tracks too!

Yup, just be sure to look both ways when you cross them there tracks!

We don't want a runaway mine train knocking us down - I hear they can be a real problem...

Lightning's Headquarters

In Walt Disney Studios, you can happen across Lightning McQueen's Racing Headquarters, right in Radiator Springs.

And when you do, be sure to check out some of the awesome sponsors and contributors.

I think my favourite has to be Gasprin!

King of the Castle

I don't know about you all, dear readers, but a little tune from my childhood starts off with 'I'm the King of the castle...'. I just wonder if this is the Castle in question:

And perhaps this could be the king from the tune?

Either way, the King of Hearts should enjoy this moment of peace and quiet, before the Queen appears again!

Lighting Up Tokyo

Before you enter Tokyo Disneyland itself, you can make no mistake you are in the land of the Mouse.

Just check out these lamps! Where can I get ones like them for the Royal Palace?!

Some Peace and Quiet

One of the things I love about Disneyland Paris is the layout of the park. Due to the detailing and positioning of the lands, there are some fantastic hidden passageways and quiet areas, perfect to take some time out. Perhaps with a snack or a nice drink?

Take, for instance, this small passageway between Fantasyland and Adventureland.

A great place to take a moment, a seat and do some people-watching.

Inside The Dwarfs House

As previously mentioned here at DF'82, La Chaumière des Sept Nains is a great shop to have a look around. Situated in Fantasyland, the shop really makes you feel like you are entering the cottage of the dwarfs from Snow White!

As you can see, the cottage is looked after very well, and looks very friendly. It's no wonder Snow White was curious.

We can even see some of the creatures of the forest having fun in the pond, and washing some items of the dwarfs!

Beautiful!

This Princess's Favourite

One of my favourite shops in Fantasyland in Disneyland Paris is quite obvious, once you remember my name (Princess Fee!):

La Confiserie des Trois Fées - or the Three Fairies' Candy Shop. As 'fée' in French is fairy, just like Tinkerbell, I think that this shop suits me perfectly!

And if you look at the doorway carefully, you will see some stained glass windows which hint that the store does indeed sell sweeties, and is owned by the Three Fairies from Sleeping Beauty.

One Sword to Rule Them All

A staple in Fantasylands around the world is the sword of Excalibur.

Legend has it that Excalibur was the sword of King Arthur, and ownership of said sword may grant the owner the right to rule the Kingdom! As such, it is a truly magical piece of weaponry...

Excalibur
He who succeeds in withdrawing the sword from the stone will be proclaimed King!

This Princess had a go at withdrawing the sword, but decided at the last minute that it might be best to leave it for others, not of Royal blood.

Which Way To Exit

After visiting the Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris, you will be given a choice of sorts when you leave the attraction.

You can decide to exit, or Sortie, or visit the poor souls in Boot Hill. The choice, is yours.

All Hail King Triton!

If you are lucky enough to visit Tokyo DisneySea, be sure to experience some time in Ariel's Grotto. Perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of the park, it may appear to be aimed more at the younger Disney guest. But there is enough interesting parts inside, as well as a fantastic The Little Mermaid show, which will entertain all ages.

Just take a look at this gorgeous sculpture as you enter Triton's Kingdom.

And look - there's a plaque! You know how this Princess loves a good plaque. Let's take a closer look...

By Royal Proclamation

To all who come to my underwater kingdom, welcome. I hereby invite my guests from the human world to magically enter the realm of my daughter Ariel and the Merfolk, to experience the wonders of life under the sea.

His Royal Majesty,
Triton

Oranges and Lemons

Well, the title is a little bit misleading, as we are only interested in oranges here at DF'82 today. Or - to be more accurate - where some of the best oranges come from. Just take a look at the Delicious Sweets confectionery and beverage spot on Main Street U.S.A., Disneyland Paris.

I quite fancy some fudge, or maybe a nice hot chocolate! But wait, let's have a closer look - it appears there may be a way to get to Florida and have some nice oranges and sun.

Excellent - we must book a trip today! A nice nod to that 'other' Disney Park in Florida, I'm sure.

A Fresh Welcome

Earlier this year, Disney's California Adventure was re-dedicated and became a brand new park! Not only was this exciting for Disney fans and Disneyland Resort visitors, but for this Princess it meant there was a brand new plaque!

As you can see, the plaque is situated on the new flag pole as you enter California Adventure. Let's have a closer look:

Disney California Adventure
To all who come to this place of dreams...Welcome!

Disney California Adventure celebrates the spirit of optimism and the promise of endless opportunities, ignited by the imaginations of daring dreamers, such as Walt Disney and those like him who changed - and were forever changed by - the Golden State. This unique place embraces the richness and diversity of California...its land, its people, its stories and, above all, the dreamers it continues to inspire.

She's Watching

When wandering around Fantasyland in Disneyland Paris, be sure to keep a weathered eye out for any strange happenings...

For instance, you may be walking past the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs attraction and feel like, well, like someone's watching you.

Take a closer look and you might find it's true.

Another Warm Welcome

We looked at Adventureland in Tokyo Disneyland earlier this week - but as another week draws to a close, we have a warm welcome waiting for us in Frontierland in Disneyland Paris.

Although what's that, over on the right?

Oh goodness, it looks like there might be some locals, waiting to pounce on us as we enter Frontierland! I hope that they are peaceful. If we walk quietly past the tepees, I'm sure we'll be fine...

Paddy Wagon

At the front of the Castle in Disneyland Paris, we have a convenient stop for the Paddy Wagon. Watch out for this sign, to be sure that you don't miss your stop!
