I am back from my trip, and I am super sorry for not posting anything since I did get back! But I am actually going to take a hiatus from DF'82 until after I come back from my next trip, over to Walt Disney World.
I have been very busy in my personal life, and I don't want to half-heartedly post on this blog, so I think it's a good idea to take the month of September off, and come back the beginning of October. And when the blog comes back, I have a whole load of fantastic Halloween-related postings to introduce you to!
And with my trip to WDW, you can expect some great tit-bits from both the American and the Parisian parks over the next few months!
Thank you for your patience, and thank you for sticking with DF'82. If you want to make sure you get any posts as soon as they are published, add the blog to your RSS reader! Thanks again and see you soon!

Memorabilia Monday - EPCOT Centre
A couple of Mondays ago I shared with you some more of my number plate collection - and on this week's Memorabilia Monday I'd like to do the same! Hopefully you're not too bored of this...
Anyway, this time I'd like to share with you some of my EPCOT plates that I've collected through the years. Can any of you guess when they are from? It's easy to tell that the top one is from my first visit to WDW - but the rest? Even I'm having difficulty.

Oh and the 2000 one? We didn't visit Florida in 2000 so I'm guessing I got that from 2001!

Do You Need a Superhero?
I love visiting foreign countries and seeing posters for films and events in foreign languages - and France is no exception. I thought it would be fun to have a look at a couple of French Disney posters I have found on my trips.
I love the Incredibles, but the thing I love most about them is their French name - Les Indestructibles! I think it's much better than the English title. Here is a poster outside the Walt Disney Studios advertising the movie at the time.
And this poster is for the Disney on Ice - Disneyland Adventure. One of my favourite Disney on Ice shows by far!
This segment wouldn't be right without something featuring Pirates of the Caribbean - and here's a 'poster' from one of the buildings in Central Paris. C'est manifique!

Get Ready
Back in December 2006, when I visited the Walt Disney Studios Park, they were preparing for a major arrival. Something that would change the ambiance and the dynamics of the Park. The Tower of Terror.
The attraction was scheduled to open up the following year - indeed it would, the following December (and just several days after our trip that year too!). I love seeing attractions as they are being built, and how Disney work on them. Here is a billboard in front of the construction for this ride.
And what do I remember most from this billboard and the construction? Waiting in line for the Animation attraction and some French people behind us discussing the new 'hotel' and when they could get a room. As one of the group said, 'I bet it is going to be very expensive to stay this close to the Parks!'. I don't think they understood the concept for the Tower of Terror...unless they were just playing along with the Imagineers and really getting into 'character'.

Memorabilia Monday - Souvenir Photos
Continuning with the 'fun' posts while DF'82 is on holiday, today's Memorabilia Monday looks at one of the many souvenir photos you can collect over at Disneyland Paris.
This one is from the Rock N' Rollercoaster avec Aerosmith. It's me and the lovely Disney Dave enjoying one of our favourite rides! Similar to the ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the photo is taken during 'take off', and you can buy it with a lovely frame!
