Adventure in Posters

I love sharing the posters from Parc Disneyland, Paris, with you all. So I have some more for you - this time, advertising the attractions that Adventureland has in store for us!

What I especially love about the posters for Adventureland is that they are all in French, not English (such as the Main Street USA posters).

Posters of Tokyo

DF'82 loves the advertising posters that feature in all the different Disney Parks throughout the world.

Over the next few days we are going to look at some of the posters from Tokyo Disney Resort! Today we will start with a small selection from Tokyo Disneyland itself. Enjoy!

Discover and Fantasy

The posters that meet us as we enter Disney Parks are some of the most interesting items for Disney geeks like myself. We've looked at some of these posters here before in DF'82, in Tokyo and in Paris.

Here are a couple of additional posters, overlooked by this Princess.

A fantastic poster for the Pinocchio attraction in Fantasyland.

And a nod to the past: a now yesterland attraction from Discoveryland.

We Started So We'll Finish

Finishing off the posters of Coming Attractions as we enter Parc Disneyland, we will now have a look at a couple of posters from one of my favourite lands - Fantasyland. Enjoy!

We now hop back to the posters of Tokyo Disney Resort, but head over now to the neighbour park, Tokyo DisneySea.

In Theatres Everywhere

Moseying around Disney's Hotel Cheyenne in Disneyland Paris, you will notice lots of posters, paintings, and items to make you feel like you are truly in the Wild West.

Take these posters, for example, advertising the film The Long Riders.
The film, starring Randy Quaid, Nicholas Guest, David Carradine and Robert Carradine, was distributed under United Artists in 1980. Although not strictly propaganda from the Western era the hotel is set in, it is still a nice nod towards the Old West style cinematography.

The World's A Stage

Have you ever noticed, when you walk under the train station into any of the Magic Kingdom parks, the posters on the walls? These posters present to us the Coming Attractions inside the Show that is the Magic Kingdom or, in this case, Parc Disneyland.
So today, let me introduce to you the first attractions we will come across in our Parc - Main Street U.S.A.!

Do You Need a Superhero?

I love visiting foreign countries and seeing posters for films and events in foreign languages - and France is no exception. I thought it would be fun to have a look at a couple of French Disney posters I have found on my trips.

I love the Incredibles, but the thing I love most about them is their French name - Les Indestructibles! I think it's much better than the English title. Here is a poster outside the Walt Disney Studios advertising the movie at the time.

And this poster is for the Disney on Ice - Disneyland Adventure. One of my favourite Disney on Ice shows by far!

This segment wouldn't be right without something featuring Pirates of the Caribbean - and here's a 'poster' from one of the buildings in Central Paris. C'est manifique!

Waterfront Posters

The American Waterfront area of Tokyo DisneySea is one of this Princess' favourite areas in the Park! Possibly because it is very much like a Main Street U.S.A. area of DisneySea.

Take, for example, these posters adorning the boards around the Waterfront area!

Fine Goods for Gentlemen & Ladies

Fine Clothing
Flattering Frocks
Handsome Hats
Suitable Suits
Evening Wear

Satisfaction Guaranteed

McDuck'S Department Store
Scrooge McDuck Proprietor

I'm sure we'll head over to that Department Store in the near future.
Or perhaps you're a baseball fan?

Baseball Season Opener
Trinket's Field
Red Hook, Brooklyn

Sheepshead Bay League Champions of 1910
The Flashbush Sportsmen
Vs
The Albany Appleknockers

Opening Day 1911

Phew! Or what about this final advertisement?
