Tune of Death

Happy Halloween DF'82 Readers!

We have come to the end of our small Boot Hill tour, and I think I have saved one of the best until last. Poor old Jack!

Hot Harry on the Hill

Unfortunately for Harry's tombstone, there is some overgrown shrubbery hanging around his grave. This makes it a little hard to read, but it's important we still showcase his stone.

But He Was Slow..."

Oh Holy Gus

This is a great tombstone - if you can say that about any cemetery, of course! This one lies hidden in Boot Hill, almost consumed by the shrubbery...

Enjoying a Moment...From Boot Hill

Right in the middle of this spooktacular series of posts, I think we should enjoy a moment, looking up to the Phantom Manor from Boot Hill itself.

Please, don't have nightmares...

Mother In Law Is Watching

We have looked at these tombstones before, but they are some of my favourites! They have recently had some spring cleaning around them, which makes them much easier to read. As they say, Mother is always watching.

Boot Hill Visiting Dakota

Over the next few days, DF'82 is going to get scared silly in Boot Hill Cemetrey, in Frontierland.

Situated next to Phantom Manor, we've been here a few times before. But I think with the holiday for haunts just around the corner, we should have a further delve into the Boot Hill itself...

As with most old tombstones, it's hard to know exactly what it says. But this historian thinks that it reads (translated from French):

Dakota Dick

Lost on 17 October 1867
Descended 16 January 1868
Drunk 18 December 1868
Imprisoned 21 May 1869

He Returns

Happy Halloween!

The countdown to Halloween has begun at DF'82, and I think it's time we started the season with some postcards from Tokyo Disney Resort. They certainly know how to get us in the spooktacular mood for scaring!

Cinderella's Coach

If you are passing your time in Fantasyland, perhaps during an early morning visit, be sure to check out the area of Auberge de Cendrillon. By checking the area around the restaurant, you will meet Cinderella's beautiful carriage.

As you can see, le Carrosse de Cendrillon is kept in very good condition, ready for Cinderella's next Royal visit. And there is a plaque next to the carriage (and you all know DF'82 loves a plaque!):

Le Carrosse de Cendrillon (Cinderella's Coach)

With some words and a magic wand, a simple pumpkin will transform into a sumptuous coach, to take Cinderella to the princely ball.

Welcoming To All

Entering Thunder Mesa in Disneyland Paris is one of this Princess' best feelings - you really feel like you are entering the ol' Frontierland itself!

And as you can see, you can either take Thunder Mesa Road, or you can head along Lucky Nugget Lane.

The choice is yours!

Tip Top Revue

If you happen to be in the fantastic new Starbucks in Disney's California Adventure, be sure to check out some of the posters which adorn the walls of these perfectly themed coffee shop.

Like this one, for instance:

Performing this week in person!

Hollywood's Elite Entertainment Shine Brightest at the
Hollywood Tower Hotel

It looks like on Friday night at 8pm, Anthony Freemont and His Orchestra will be performing, at the Tip Top Club. While in the Stardust Lounge, Lawrence Jones and the Golden Tones will be performing on Thursday at 8pm.

Or perhaps you're free on Wednesday evening? If so, The Velvety Voice of Velma Woodrow will be in the Sunset Room at 8pm. And on Monday night, at 7pm, the Fountain Room has the Silver Lake Sisters. Superb!

And we can take the Red Car Trolley to the Hollywood Tower Hotel stop to enjoy any one of these fine acts.

Mini-Hiatus

Just a short note to let you all know that there will be a mini-hiatus here at DF'82, just for a couple of weeks.

We will be back mid-October, fresh-faced and ready to bring you more from around the World of Disney Theme Parks!
