Inside the Arcade

DF'82 shares a lot of adverts from Main Street U.S.A., and many of them (such as yesterday's post) are situated in the Arcades off Main Street in Disneyland Paris: Liberty and Discovery.

This is a shot of the inside the Discovery Arcade, which I think is my favourite.

It consists of a great spot to have a seat with a hot, or cool, drink, as well as a quick way to enter the backs of some of the stores, and to get to Discoveryland.

I don't know about you all, dear readers, but a little tune from my childhood starts off with 'I'm the King of the castle...'. I just wonder if this is the Castle in question:

And perhaps this could be the king from the tune?

Either way, the King of Hearts should enjoy this moment of peace and quiet, before the Queen appears again!

Discover and Fantasy

The posters that meet us as we enter Disney Parks are some of the most interesting items for Disney geeks like myself. We've looked at some of these posters here before in DF'82, in Tokyo and in Paris.

It's a quiet morning in Discoveryland, in Disneyland Paris, so maybe we should take a seat outside the Cafe Hyperion? It's always nice to enjoy the quiet times when we can!

Decor of the Lodge

Disney's Sequoia Lodge in Paris is a resort which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere - but in a good way! The resort is built in a way that makes you feel you are in the middle of the Sequoia National Park.

The decor, for example, is themed perfectly. With paintings and images of wildlife:

Inside Tokyo's Hotel

Tokyo Disney Resort's newest hotel, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, opened back in 2008, and is a truly beautiful hotel. It closely resembles the Grand Floridian hotel, in Walt Disney World, but is also completely different.

In the atrium of the hotel sits a magnificent birdcage, stretching to the top of the Hotel.

And if you look closely, you can see some fantastic detailing on the wires.

You Buttered Your Bread - Now Sleep In It

Au Chalet de Marionette, a great place to grab a bite to eat in Fantasyland, Paris. Just remember to take some time to look around as you queue up to order your food!

It looks like Pinocchio is also quite hungry for a bite to eat!

I just hope Foulfellow and Gideon don't catch up with him!

Of course, you have to get passed the guards first!

With the interior decor, there's no mistaking whose Castle this is.

Welcome to Hong Kong

This Princess has yet to visit Disneyland Hong Kong, and I guess I am not alone! Until we can arrange a DF'82 meet-up at Hong Kong, we can feel like we're almost there through experiencing the guide maps and times guides!

2013 Well And Truly Here

We are already into the second month of 2013, so this post might be a little bit belated. But, DF'82 wanted to share with you this beautiful postcard welcoming us all to the new year.

With the recent Chinese New Year, and the celebrations throughout Asia, this is quite a nice tie-in. The postcard is from Tokyo Disney Resort, and is celebrating the Year of the Snake.
