Things are a little quiet here at DF'82 as you may have noticed. There's going to be a wee break of posting here, due to personal time constraints.
I love doing this blog but am not sure if I should continue. I have plenty of fun facts and details, and treasures, from the Disney parks, but would like some feedback to find out if it's with continuing. Please leave a comment and let me know if you would still like to read DF'82!
Hopefully be back soon!

Light Up
A quick return to Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpot reminds us to always look up, as some things may light the way for us in a Disney park...
That's right, we are pointing out the Disney details in the light fixtures around the Outpost.
There really is a great attention to detail by Colonel Hathi and his Imagineering friends!

Sit Down and Eat
Once you've had a look around Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost, it's time to grab a chair and enjoy your food - there's plenty of places to have a seat.
And when you're finished, Colonel Hathi hopes that you'll be back soon!

All The Points
Looking closer at a nearby fireplace, which has long been out of action, we can see a fireguard that is perfectly fitted to Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost!
If we look carefully, we can see that the guard depicts something familiar to all adventurers - the compass points of North, East, South and West!

Above and Around
Looking around Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost, we can see many knick-knacks from Colonel Hathi's adventures and walkabouts.
Photos, trinkets, ironware, something for everyone!

Keep It Up, 2, 3, 4
Of course, it's Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost. Did you get it?
It's a fantastic place to get a bite to eat - and there is a great range of sitting inside and outside the restaurant. Good for the ever-changing weather of France!
We're going to have a good nosey around the restaurant over the next few days, so whilst you wait in line for your pizza or salad, I'll get my tour book ready!

Hup 2, 3, 4
One of my favourite restaurants in Disneyland Paris is situated in the midst of Adventureland, away from the biz and the crowds...
Can this sign give you a hint as to the theming of the restaurant?
Of course, it's related to the Jungle Book. And a very loveable character as well...
Well, this image doesn't give us much more of a clue. Maybe the title of this post will? Join us again tomorrow to find out the restaurant - and for the rest of this week, we will be exploring this great Pizza Outpost!

Enjoying A Moment...On The River Again
The Rivers of America in Disneyland Paris are a great area to get some fantastic shots, especially if the weather is dramatic!
Today, we enjoy a moment on these rivers, taking in the lush, green surroundings. A result of the varied weather conditions Paris experiences.

MiraCosta Mickey
This Mickey Mouse welcomes us to the Hotel MiraCosta in Tokyo DisneySea.
Always a welcoming face! And he has his compass and map on hand, so it looks like he is ready for an adventure or two.

All Aboard!
After yesterday's look at some of the transportation available on and around Main Street, we follow on from the Euro Disneyland Rail Road and have a look at one of the trains in action.
The W.E.Cody, entering Frontierland Station, and ready to take some guests on a tour of the Disneyland park!

Rest Your Feet
Visiting any Disney park can be a tiring experience. Although we all love the attractions, shows and experiences, the ol' feet can get a little bit, well, sore! So be sure to take advantage of the many transport options available on Main Street U.S.A.:
And not forgetting the Disneyland Rail Road, a perfect way to get right around the Park!

Fly With Peter
Popping back in to the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, let's have another look at the beautiful detailing between these walls.
Look a little closer at the walls, and you will see some artwork, reflecting the story of Peter Pan.
These details truly make this a fantastically Disney themed hotel!

A Degree of Mystery
Upon entering the Mysterious Island in DisneySea, we are greeted with a royal-feeling area.
And on closer inspection, we can see this beautiful water fountain, bringing together the Sea-feeling of the park and the power of the Mysterious Island itself.

Spin Around
Taking another wander through the lobby of Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, there are some more beautiful sights to behold. Have a look at this shot:
Whilst we have already talked about the birdcage, the carrousel that is situated in the middle of the sitting area is truly beautiful. Let's take a closer look.
The images around the top of the carrousel reflect some noteworthy Disney films, such as Beauty and the Beast.
A gorgeous piece of detailing! And behind it, you can see a beautiful looking doll's house too, not unlike something you would find in Mary Poppins.

Enjoying a Moment...At City Hall
I love entering Disneyland, passing under the train station, and being right in the middle of Main Street U.S.A..
Today's moment is one that I guess every Disney theme park visitor has experienced. Heading over to City Hall at the start of your day!

Deli Anyone?
I don't know about you, dear DF'82 reader, but I am feeling a little bit peckish... Ah, this place might be good!
Excellent! We must stop by there for a bite.

Step Off The Tracks
Walking around Frontierland in Disneyland Paris can be dangerous enough, watching out for the horses and cowboys, but now it appears we have to watch out for the mine tracks too!
Yup, just be sure to look both ways when you cross them there tracks!
We don't want a runaway mine train knocking us down - I hear they can be a real problem...

Birds and Flowers
Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland, Paris, is a nice and enjoyable venue for dining. But if you do get to go here for a meal, be sure to take in the surroundings as well.
Looking closely at the columns placed around this area of the dining room, you can see some beautiful Disney details!

Lightning's Headquarters
In Walt Disney Studios, you can happen across Lightning McQueen's Racing Headquarters, right in Radiator Springs.
And when you do, be sure to check out some of the awesome sponsors and contributors.
I think my favourite has to be Gasprin!

Fountain With Wings
There is too much to look at in the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, but one of the focal points is the beautiful water fountain in the reception area.
Take a closer look at the top of the fountain, if you can.
This is a great nod to the overall theming of the Hotel, reflecting the love of British 20th Century literature.

The Beauty Within
We've spent some time around the Disneyland Hotel in Tokyo, but now it's time to properly step inside and appreciate the interior of Tokyo's newest place of residence.
Just take a look at the height of the hotel inside. You can easily see that the Imagineers closely modelled this hotel on 20th century Victorian architecture, with nods to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World.
And whilst we're having a look around, don't forget to Look Up, like we enjoy doing here at DF'82.
What a ceiling!

Enjoying a Moment...Sepia Main Street
Main Street U.S.A. is the best! Okay, that might be quite a bit of a statement, but it is one area of the parks (especially Disneyland Paris) which makes you really feel like you are in good ol' days.
Which is why today's moment is one which makes us feel like we are in the past - albeit a wet past.

Feeling a Little Goofy
Here's another fun postcard from Tokyo Disneyland, showing the newly added to Toontown attraction, Goofy's Paint 'n' Play House.
Doesn't it look like fun?!

Updates to Pirouettes
New readers to DF'82 will be unfamiliar with the Old Mill, situated in Fantasyland in Disneyland Paris. It is an attraction of yesterland and has more recently been turned into a quick-service snack area.
I have some more recent shots of what used to be Les Pirouettes Du Vieuz Moulin (The Spinning Old Mill), which help us see how good Imagineers are of keeping everything in theme.
Here we can see the old entrance, complete with sign.
The old loading area.
And as we can see, differently to previous shots, the mill baskets have now been completely removed!
